How To Install ABGX360 On Linux / Ubuntu

To get ABGX360 working under Linux with a GUI you first need to download both abgx360-1.0.5 and abgx360gui-1.0.2 for Linux/BSD from the official ABGX website at the bottom of this post. You will also need to install a few dependencies.

  • Open the terminal and type: sudo apt-get install libwxgtk2.8-dev xterm

Now to compile them extract both folders from the files you just downloaded then open the abgx360-1.0.5 folder in the terminal. Next type these commands one after another:

  • ./configure
  • make
  • sudo make install

Now go back to the abgx360gui folder and type:

  • ./configure
  • make

You can now run the GUI from the folder or simply right click on it and choose make link to create a shortcut. Another problem you may face is with the GUI dispersing when you try to check a game. This can be fixed by changing the “program output” setting at the bottom of the window. Untick the “Maxamize it” option and tick “Use terminal font characters” it will stay visible now.
